Vine Medical Group is a GP partnership, caring for 27,000 patients across the whole of the Waterlooville area and its surrounding villages.
The partnership operates across four locations; the Forest End, Health Centre, Westbrook and Stakes Lodge sites. In order to service the increasing demand on primary care, Vine Medical Group employs GPs, practice nurses, advanced nurse practitioners, healthcare assistants, paramedics and pharmacists. This enables us to bring you highly skilled and appropriate care for all your health needs.
In addition, we operate an appointment system to enable Vine Medical Group patients to access care, both on the day and routine. The appointments are offered with an appropriate clinician according to your medical need.
Vine Medical Group is actively involved with shaping local services and as such has a number of staff involved in influential organisations, including the South East Hampshire Clinical Commissioning Group (SEHCCG), Vanguard (government initiative to introduce multi-speciality services) and the Alliance (local service provider group). We encourage patient participation via our Patient Participation Group, both face-to-face (PPG) and via email (VPPG), see page 16 for details. Also, within our team we have specialist clinicians recruiting specific patients for clinical trials, helping to develop new and cutting edge treatment.
The partnership is approved for GP student training, and each year one or more fully qualified doctors with experience in hospital medicine may spend time with the partnership as part of their preparation to become GPs. They share all aspects of patient care, and the practice welcome their contribution to the team. Occasionally, medical students, practice nurses in training, student community nurses and paramedic students may also spend time with the practice.
