During September 2021 the practice will start delivering the annual flu vaccination campaign alongside a third dose COVID 19 booster (depending on availability of stock). To make the most of your visit, both vaccines will be given together and we will also be undertaking a mini health check by collecting your Blood Pressure, Weight and Pulse measurements.

This "one stop shop" approach is unique to us, your practice, as we have direct access to your medical record.

Following Government Guidance, vaccines will be delivered in two stages:

Stage 1:

  • to those aged over 70 years
  • those residing in care homes
  • adults aged 16+ who are immunosuppressed or considered clinically extremely vulnerable
  • frontline health and social care workers

Patients who are housebound or resident in Nursing homes and unable to visit the practice will have their vaccines administered by our team at home or in nursing homes.

Upon completion of stage 1, moving to Stage 2, both flu & covid vaccines will be offered to:

  • all adults over 50
  • those between the ages of 16 and 49 who are in the usual Influenza or COVID risk groups
  • adult household contacts of immunosuppressed individuals

We will be inviting eligible patients by text message, email or telephone call to attend the practice as soon as the vaccines are available.

Should you wish to receive only 1 jab (either flu or covid booster), please advise the clinician when you attend your appointment.
